It's strongly recommended but not a hard requirement. The best FMM students have been through the funding process themselves — they understand what clients experience and can speak to it honestly. If you haven't been funded, you should go through the free community first to understand the system before trying to sell it.

Most clients earn $10K–$25K per funded deal (retainer + commission). The average funded amount is $140K — and the average commission on that is about $14K. If you close 1 client per month consistently, that's $168K/year. If you hit 2 clients/month, the math gets very different. Results vary based on effort, network, and how fast you implement the system.

On DWY and Inner Circle tiers, we work with you until you've earned back your investment through client commissions. If you complete the 90-day program, show up for coaching, follow the system, and still haven't closed a client — we keep working with you at no added cost until you do. This is conditional: you have to do the work, show up, and execute.

You don't need an audience. You need a phone and a small network. Every person you know is connected to at least one entrepreneur who needs capital — a barber, a contractor, a boutique owner, a stylist. The outreach system in FMM teaches you exactly what to say to warm contacts first, so you're not cold-calling strangers. Your first client is almost always someone you already know.
